Science Demands Sacrifice!

Even though one of the anticipated key components of the recipe will be VERY difficult to acquire, I’m going forward anyway with an acceptable substitute.

But on the whole I cannot be very happy with this week’s developments. Still, these things happen and there are still 12 weeks available before the first benchmark. So … onward. Mwah-hah-ha-ha-haaaa.

Science Moves Slow!

I had already resolved that this was going to be a long process. Turns out (for assorted reasons) it’s going to be even longer than I thought. This means it’s almost certain that I won’t have any interesting results at the 13-week benchmark. I find that rather demotivating.

But, onward anyway. The 26-week benchmark will still be interesting.

Not Completely Mad Science

I’m running an experiment on myself, starting Sunday and continuing indefinitely, with preliminary results to be assessed at the end of May and an intermediate assessment in mid-August at the earliest. I’m predicting (optimistically) that in fall I’ll need to adjust the experiment inputs some, refine the experiment design a little further. And then … well, and then we’ll see.

I know I’m supposed to be shouting, “I’ll show you! I’ll show you ALL!” But actually, I’m not going to announce any more specifics. I’ll offer updates in May and fall, if I can restrain myself from cackling with glee.
