Whither

So, sometime last year, I declared here that I was definitely not going to pursue certification in high power rocketry.

I’m pleased to report today that I’m … definitely not going to pursue certification in high power rocketry.

Yes, somewhere in-between there I had changed my mind. I found what I thought was a pretty good reason to pursue HPR and I thought it would make a good follow-up when my current slate of projects was complete.

After reflection, though, the pretty good reason won’t be all that good, and HPR is still way too expensive for my wallet and the certification process is too much hassle.

This leaves me with a large blank spot on the horizon when the current projects finish up (probably this summer). At that point I’ll have had a good sample of what model rocketry has to offer, and have a good grasp of where my skills and interest are. So the decision about “what next” will have to wait ’til then.

I’m sure your muse will grant your desire when the time rolls around, Bob. I can’t see you as someone sitting around, twiddling his thumbs.

Twiddling thumbs would be swell, if there were clearly nothing else to do. :-)

    I stand corrected!
